Whether you're a foodie and like to dine out a lot, love to take afternoon tea in pretty surroundings, or just want a family-friendly cafe for lunch, there's something here for you.  We've eaten at most of these places ourselves, so they come with a personal recommendation.  Enjoy!

There are no less than four restaurants, three of these also country pubs, in the picturesque black and white village of Ombersley (10 mins), the closest village to The Nest.  The Crown and Sandys (pronounced Sands) is a former Coaching Inn with a fantastic history dating back to the 17th Century.  The King's Arms is a 15th century, black & white timber framed traditional country pub, boasting roaring wood burners in winter and an al fresco dining area in the summer.  After fifteen years in Ombersley, the philosophy of The Venture In remains the same – keeping it simple to ensure the individual elements of the dishes flourish. All meats and fish are smoked in-house and there are fortnightly fish evenings. The Cross Keys Inn dates back to 1830. There is a choice of an a la carte menu in the conservatory restaurant or enjoy lunch or dinner in the more cosy and intimate bar area.  In Ombersley you will also find the award-winning Ombersley Bakery, as well as Checketts - a high quality delicatessen, coffee shop, butchers and fishmongers.
